Smoke crawls from the temple entrance creases. Echoes of footsteps of the dark clad rescuer sounded the dank hallway, slowly and steadily.

As the smoke clears the blue eyed knight carries his angel from the darkness. The star-like walls lit their way as both escapes the coldness of the temple.

His icy-blue eyes were full of determination even though the mission was over and with a gentle but firm grip, the man carried the sleeping beauty outside to the daylight.

The sunlight kissed both of them as it shines on the ancient masonry of the temple.

Outside a group was waiting for them to arrive. The helicopter is already running minutes even before the man with his prize went out.

The man thought as he glanced at the ski-mask wearing hired gun. The blond lounging on the chair was a  three century old warlock of the name Philip de Silva, one of the sons of the notorious family of healers in the supernatural world.

While he was talking, the man walked over to the readied stretcher and hired private paramedics. They were actually employed the by the De Silva Pharmaceutical empire so everyone were a controlled variable even Philip's secretary and the pilot, as well as the man with the sleeping beauty.

Philip was talking about a certain foe that his family has been up against and at the same time helping. They were playing both sides until they knew which side would win. The 'octupus' he was talking about was the legendary god Cthulhu which in his human vessel had apparently produced an offspring, a daughter. And this daughter is supposed to be her which they can use as a secret leverage just in case they would need her or if the god felt fatherly.

The other man whispered so softly it couldn't be heard. He was actually hired by the woman's real family, her grandfather also a warlock, one of the few who tried to stop the god from rising. He did but in only left the god locked in a vessel. Why did he agree to help him? It's not because of the money or because he's one of the few lackeys of the gods who could do it, but because he loved her so much that he agreed to rescue her after someone had poisoned and buried her alive inside the temple.

The mercenary glanced sideways at his employer irritatingly and grumbled,

When the sky poured it's heavy rain so does his heart. The man watched steadily how slowly the helicopter descended into air and away from him. The man stayed watching as the decrescendo of the whirring sounds of the helicopter signifies real farewell. Sebastian Leinth whispered hoping she could here these words,
